Suggest Treatment For Internal Itching In The Abdomen
Hi Doctor, for about 6- 9 months I have had internal itching in the lower right side of my abdomen. It does not hurt but I need to scratch it. There is no external rash. At times the itch is more intense than other times it seems. Do I need to worry about this?

Itching in the right lower side of the abdomen alone is a rare problem, in fact never heard of till now.
The most probable cause of such an occurrence can be :
-Dermatitis of the local skin.
-Compression of the sensory nerve supplying this area in its course from the spinal cord to the sensory area in the lower right abdomen .
Once the proper diagnosis has been made, the further treatment can be planned accordingly.
