Suggest Treatment For Interstitial Cystitis

Why does no one know about injecting heparin into the bladder and having the patient keep it in as long as possible? I ve had interstitial cystitis for several years. This is the treatment that my ob/gyn has used successfully in many patients for several years. It cured me. I haven t needed further treatments for at least three years. YYYY@YYYY . Hello
Thank you for asking the question.
You are suffering from interstitial cystitis. There is no single treatment available for it.
There are many treatment option like physical therapy, diet therapy, antihistaminic, antidepressants, bladder instillation, immunosuppressant, surgical, neuromodulation etc.
Regarding bladder instillation many modalities are used like DMSO, sodium hyaluronate, heparin etc.
Heparin repair the GAG layer. in cystitis this layer is affected. It is injected inside bladder and it remains there to produce its effect.
Hope this will helpful to you.
