Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I had an ablation 7 years ago. Recently I've had an uneasy feeling. A couple extra heart beats here and there, some instances of not being able to get a deep breathe and alot of burping.
I saw my old cardiologist yesterday and I'm on a cardiac monitor until later tonite.
Your irregular heartbeats are likely due to ectopics Or Vpc. So, we should wait till Holter report and their confirmation in a report.
You should have an echo and if necessary stress test to rule out the possibility of heart disease if not done. To control these, you'll need beta blockers like metoprolol or antiarrhythmic.
Alternatively, you may need ablation depending upon the Holter report.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Sagar Makode, Cardiologist
