Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods And Mood Swings

My question is about menopause. I m 50 and my periods are irregular - like last one was in August. For the last two months my mind/emotions been really disturbed. Feeling I can t cope at work and with relationships, I have times when the feeling is like a tsunami and I wish I could end my life (I never would but thats the intensity of the feeling). Is this normal and how long may it last for?

Hello
Thank you for asking question.
Menopause in the beginning phase is very difficult. There is problem with menstrual cycle, either irregular or with spotting or no bleeding. So your period is remain as you are experiencing.
Regarding your mood swing, there is wide variation from excitation to depression happens as hormonal imbalance starts. So my advice is consult a doctor and also start hormonal treatment as per doctor's advice.
If counseling needed then that also must try to reduce mood change which affect your life and job.
Hope this will helpful to you
