Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods

Hi. I became pregnant within a year of my marriage and delivered a baby girl just after 8 months,since baby was not growing the doc decided for a C sec and i delivered on 1 Nov 2012. Due to developmental delay the baby dint survive and expired on 20 Nov 2013 just after a year of her birth.. i have been trying to concieve since 8-9 months but no results.. from last month i hv started takind Duphaston 10 mg tablet but no result.. i have irregular periods. Some times its 30 days and sometimes it may go beyond 40 as well.. please guide me

Hello,
In the current scenario, you should see a specialist and go for a complete clinical evaluation, a sonogram, hormone assay and tubal patency tests. This is to make sure that consequent to your earlier delivery, you did not develop any tubal blocks and/or hormone imbalances resulting in irregular periods. If the results are normal, you can try to achieve regular cycles by using progesterones along with regular exercise, diet and weight management for a couple of cycles, followed by induction of ovulation.
