Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 25, weigh approximately 185, 5'4 and I have irregular bowel movements. I have a bowel movement 3 times a month at the most. I only drink water. No soda at all. I try to incorporate fruits and salads in my diet but that still doesn't help my issue. I tried over the counter laxatives and was prescribed sorbitol at one point but I am still having the same issues. What is wrong?
Hello, It is not Irritable bowel disease. You are suffering from chronic constipation. First of all, avoid junk, spicy and oily foods. Drink 4 to 5 liters of water a day. Eat as much as fibers you can. Take Syp Lactulose 20 ml thrice a day alternate with Syp Picosulfate 20 ml thrice a day with Lactulose enema once a day for 3 days.
Thanks
