Suggest Treatment For Irritation And Itching All Over The Body

My father is 80 years old. He takes medications for diabetes, COPD, blood pressure and prostate. Of late, since 6/7 months he is having irritation in his skin all over, he keeps itching all over his body. He has shown to a skin specialist and is taking and applying medicines, but there is no respite. Please help.

Hi
Itching in his age can be due to senile pruritus.
Ask him to keep his body moisturised by application of a moisturising lotion containing white soft paraffin on the entire body 2-3 times in a day.
Give him antihistaminic like tablet hydroxyzine 25 mg twice daily and capsule doxepin 10 mg at bedtime for 2-3 weeks.
