Suggest Treatment For Itching And Heat Sensitivity In Eyes
Around August last year I had very serious conjunctivitus for about a month. It eventually went away with chloramphenicol eye drops. However, since then I ve experienced similar symptoms on and off. My eyes become very itchy, in the corners and the underside of the eyelids (where they meet). As well as occasional sensitivity to light my eyes have become extremely sensitive to heat and this usually causes the irritation. I have used the same eye drops previously thinking the conjunctivitus had returned but they made not difference. Cold compresses are a great help to relieve the irritation but they can cause a discharge from my eyes. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as my eyes have been very uncomfortable for months!
Hello It seems from the history that you are having itching and sensitivity of the eyes. These symptoms indicate allergic conjunctivitis and treatment is by use of antiallergic eye drops and artificial tears eye drops. The allergic diseases usually tend to to run a long course hence you need to use the eye drops for about 4-6 weeks. Along with the medical treatment need to avoid the allergen if any like exposure to dust, smoke... Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of drugs.
Thank you
