Both diabetes and hypothyroidism can cause skin problems. Hypothyroidism causes dryness of skin and diabetes too increases the risk of getting skin infections. You must take care of your skin. Use a medicated soap preferrably one with Echinacea herb or Berberis aquifolium extract. It will be better to use a glycerine soap to avoid itchiness due to dry skin. Apply pure aloe vera gel to the affected area which has soothing and healing properties. Control your blood sugar levels as high blood sugars can cause delay in healing of damaged skin. Hope this answers your query.
