Suggest Treatment For Itching Bump On My Head

I have a bump on my head that I am urged to scratch to the point of bleeding it even seems pleasurable to poke with a needle. On one of my pin prick experiments I realized that the scalp surrounding the bump is numb. About 3inches around the bump. Any ideas? I remember hitting my head years ago but I can t definitively say the bump is from the injury. I guess I should tell you its been there for years now.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be a tumor, fibroma, lipoma or else. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. After thorough examination and investigations, your doctor would decide to remove it by surgical excision.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
