Suggest Treatment For Itching In Groin Area

Hi, I have terrible jock itch and haven t been able to cure it for years. Having gone through many mis diagnoses through my local doctors office I have taken it into my own hands to get rid of this. I applied non diluted tea tree oil to my groin area and it is now burning and stinging. Any suggestions

Hello, Welcome to health care magic.
You seemed to have developed irritant contact dermatitis to tea tree oil. Stop using it.
You may apply a cream containing clotrimazole and hydrocortisone for 2 weeks. Avoid moisture, rubbing and heat as much as possible. Wear boxer type of under wear. Use an antifungal dusting powder during the day. Avoid excessive cleaning with soap and rubbing during bath. Pat the area dry and not rub dry. Wear loose cotton garments as much as possible.
After 2 weeks apply a cream containing only clotrimazole for another 2 weeks.
Hope this helped,
Take care.
