Suggest Treatment For Itching Sensation And Redness On The Eyelids
I am having a reaction on my eyelids. They are bumpy and flaking. Itching and eyes lids turning red. It is a Friday night and I can t see my eye doctor/doctor until Monday. Will mupiricin help, at least temporarily to get through the weekend. Is there a problem if I try it to see. (I was treated with prednisone and augmentin to help this as well as hurting ears. It worked while I took it and for 3 days afterwards.) I ve been traveling for business and this is too bad to sit out until Monday. Is there a problem if Mupiricin gets in my eyes.
As per your case history you are having eyelid dermatitis, my treatment advice is:
1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like Desowen twice a day on affected region. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
