Suggest Treatment For Itching Sensation In The Anal Area

I m having some anal itching. It s sometimes bad enough that it s all I think about. I have strained working quite a bit in life but I can t feel any hemorrhoids. I m an RN and I feel like I should know this. It s been prevalent for about 2 years and it stays damp in the anal area. What could it be?

Hello,

As you know many causes for itching around the perianal region.
1. Eczema or allergy to soap or moisturizing cream.
2. Fissure or hemorrhoids or fistula.
3. Dysentery or diarrhea.
4. Worm infestation
5. Spicy food consumption etcetera.
Until the examination, is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
