Suggest Treatment For Itchy Body

hi-my entire body itches in the evening when I m reading or watching TV. I m on meds for various conditions and was wondering if this causes it, but why only in the evening? Also, could it be dry skin-even under my eyes? I have applied lotions and moisturizers but nothing helps-Help! Thanks!

Hi.
As per your case history of generalized itching.
My treatment advice is -
1. It may be caused by dry skin or any food allergy.
2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on affected skin.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are topical steroid lotion like beclomethasone, higher antihistamine like hydroxyzine, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
