Hiya, I have 3 burn scars which where from accidents between a couple of months and a couple of years ago, on each one of the burns a little red lump has developed and they are quite itchy, I tried to squeeze one of them and its turned into what looks like a mosquito bite, I m not quite sure what they are?
You seem to have postburn hypertrophic scar or keloid along with secondary bacterial infection on one of them, as you complain of pai and redness..right? I would like to advise you to take antibiotic for two werks with anti inflammatory drugs like numesulide. This might reduce inflammation, after that, you may be given itralesional steroid injection in proper dose by your doctor,as I do usually in my patients. Apply silicone gel on the lesions, which might reduce the hardness of the lesions. I hope this would be helpful to you.
Thanks.
