Suggest Treatment For Itchy Butt Crack And Difficulty In Bowel Movement
For almost a couple years now I have had an itchy buttcrack and it has gotten worse over time and moved lower and lower and it's always more itchy and the skin looks dark brown inside the buttcrack and sometimes bleeds if I itch it too much and sometimes it hurts to pass bowels because of it.
I have evaluated your query thoroughly. It is anal fissure. Recommendations for better outcome: • Manage to get soft bowel evacuations with plenty of liquids and high fiber diet, certain cases may require bulk-forming laxative for the same • Avoid more oily, spicy, non veg • Avoid smoking/alcohol • Keep the part clean with antiseptic liquids • Local application of Lidocaine (5%) jelly gives soothing action • Sitz bath (sitting in tub filled with lukewarm water 10 minutes each in morning, evening and after passing stools) speed up recovery • Surgery if there is no response to enough conservative treatment
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
