Suggest Treatment For Itchy Genital Area When Diagnosed With HIV

I was recently diagnosed with hiv and 3rd stage syphilis in August 2016 I was given medication and sores on my genitals stopped and went away I have not had any sexual contact with anyone since. Now my genitals itch very bad and sores have appeared on my penia and my genitals and it itches bad .has the syphilis come back? I recently purchased a package of boxers from factory 2u (falas) and my genitals started itching and I have scratched so bad that I thought it was something else, since then I have thrown the boxers away any suggestions?

Hello,

Itching of genitals can occur due to multiple etiology. Whether its confines to the penis alone (shaft, foreskin or glans) or involving scrotum also. Do you have itching over groin? It could be due to yeast infection, scabies, ringworm infection, seborrheic infection, and eczema or even due to excessive sweating.

What is your age? What is your CD4 count? Do you have diabetes mellitus? All are counting before arriving at a diagnosis. Syphilis will not have any itchy lesions. Consult a Dematovenereologist.
