Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rash Behind Ear

Hi, I have a itchy rash behind my ear from my hearing aid. Is there anything I can put on it that won t interfere with the sound of my hearing aid. One part of the hearing aid goes over my ear. I m sure it s the plastic. thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi,

You seem to have contact allergic dermatitis on post auricular areas. As you said, hearing aid material may be responsible.

You consult dermatologist and have firm diagnosis. You may apply steroid cream and may take antihistaminic with steroids in tappering dose.

You also change the hearing aid or keep cotton cloth to avoid contact of plastic hearing aid directly to the skin. You may contact ENT surgeon.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
