Suggest Treatment For Itchy Scalp And Forehead

I m having severe itching on my scalp and forehead. I think it is contact dermatitis from the T-sal shampoo I used this morning. My scalp is also hot to touch. Pressure and cold relieve the symptoms temporarily. Per my pharmacist s instructions, I have re washed my hair with Aveeno body wash since it is so mild. Then I rubbed hydrocortisone cream into my scalp as best I could. There was temporary relief, but it is back. Please help!

hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.

t-sal shampoo is the likely culprit here as it contains salicylic acid. you have developed contact dermatitis to it.

you need a stronger steroid than hydrocortisone, like betamethasone lotion would be appropriate for you. also for itching relief you need antihistamines like tab atarax 25mg thrice daily.

I suggest you visit your dermatologist and get examined and treated.

hope this helps. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
