Suggest Treatment For Jock Itch With Red Blotches On Penis Head

Hello, 26 year old Male here. I believe I am suffering from Thrush/Jock Itch, I have 2 blotches of red skin around the penis head and it is sometimes dry and flakey/scaley. I have just ordered Fluconazole and I do have some Clotrimazole 1% as I had the same issue over a year ago and this is what my GP recommended, identifying it as Thrush I have not been prescribed the Fluconazole however - Is there much risk in taking it without a professional saying so?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to fungal infection. For that you may apply ointment containing clotrimazole. For itching you can take tablet loratidine. Maintain proper hygiene.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
