Nephrologist 's  Response
Dear user,

I believe that the renal function is not going in the right direction. Swelling is a symptom of fluid retention, as well as pruritus may be associated with hyperazotemia and hyperphosphatemia. I recommend a complete screen with serum creatinine, BUN, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, BNP, sodium, PTH, vitamin D. Introduction or increase of diuretics (in particular loop diuretics) should be considered by your physician.
I find this answer helpful
