Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stones While On Flomax, Toradol And Zofran

I was diagnosed with kidney stones 3 days ago at my primary care doctor. I went in after my third painful attack 2 on the right 1 left side. CAT scan revealed 3 small stones. I was given a injection for pain and prescribed flomax, toradol, and zofran. I was being referred to urologist. The pain is severe again and the med aren t helping. Help, when is it time to go back for care?

Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Removal of stone is the ultimate treatment. If the stone is less than 5 mm then it will Spa spontaneously if it is greater than that then non-invasive strategies can be applied to remove the stone such as Lithotripsy or minimally invasive intraluminal procedures. if the stone is much larger than percutaneous nephrolithotomy may be required and Lithotripsy alone may not work.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
