Suggest Treatment For Knee Soreness Despite A Normal X-ray Report

Both knees are so sore that it hurts to get up from a chair. Ortho doctor took xrays . Did not find bone on bone. Did say I had a few bone spurs. Funny both knees, in the back of each knee, started hurting on the same night. By the next day the front of both knees hurt. What could make this happen to both knees so suddenly?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It might be due to early signs of arthritis which may not be seen in X-ray.

As of now, you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
