My ent doc is not sure I have labarithitus or vestibular neuritis as my balance organs are working ok . She thinks i need to see a neurologist but I feel I have an issue with my left ears as I get fullness and slight pain with tinnitus she does not think it is viral as she said inflammation woul have shown on the MRI Thanks Steve
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be viral infection of the inner ear. It can be clinically evaluated and treated. MR I would not detect labrynthitis. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed labyrinthine sedatives like cinnarizine 25 to 50 mg. Along with this, betahistine tablet 16 to 24 mg twice daily for 3 weeks are helpful. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
