Hello I have large fibroids. I am going to have a hysterecromy soon. Also obe of the fibroids looks suspiciois they say it could be degeneration but aren t sure. I also have 2 lymph nodes near the fibroid which are 8mm in size. Can you tell me why the lymph nodes would be a little large please. Thankyou
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Large fibroids can undergo degeneration. Usually, the lymph node enlargement is not associated with fibroids, rather lymph nodes are enlarged in infection or any cancerous lesions. I would suggest you to consult an oncologist prior to undergoing hysterectomy, as you may need intraoperative frozen section of the respected tissue to detect any cancerous cells, and the surgery should be completed accordingly.
