Had an ACL reconstruction in 1995, recently tore my lateral meniscus. after rehabbing still have loss of about 5% flexsion unable to fully fire my quad. After MRI was told I have DJD, should change lifestyle to no/low impact activities only. Going to get scoped, doc talked about notchplasty and potential graft debridement. Not comfortable with losing the entire graft. Just uncertain of plan
Meniscusinjury can be managed by arthroscopic repair, and same day you can go home. Yes notchplasty may be required. Post operative rehabilitation and physiotherapy is important.
