Suggest Treatment For Left-sided Abdominal Pain Post An Injury

My husband fell hard slipping on wet tile 2 weeks ago. His stomach immediately swelled up and he had excruciating pain on left side. We had to call 911 2 days later when pain was soo bad and he couldnt even get out of bed. He is 65, hx of IBS and Diverticular disease. At hospital he was dx with 2 left rib fractures, and sent home. Xray on lft side only. Now on day 10 left side pain better, abd size went down, but excruciating pain under right rib cage. Doesnt want to go back to hospital, said they didn t do anything last time. What could it be? Maybe diaphram?
