Suggest Treatment For Lightheaded, Dizziness And Shaky Vision
Today i experienced lightheadedness, very dizzy to where I had to sit and a very strange vision: squiggly, shaky vision everywhere I looked. After about 20 minutes it seemed to have clear up but still very dizzy. This odd shaky feeling in my eyes seems like it is getting more frequent. I had lasik surgery back in April 2014, could this be a side affect?
I would like to know your actual blood pressure values. Have you measured your blood pressure during these episodes? Low blood pressure or orthostatic hypotension could mimic a similar clinical scenario.
When was your last consult with your ophtalmologist? A complication of Lasic surgery (although after such a long time)or a new eye disorder can not be excluded too.
Other tests to consider would be:
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count for anemia, blood electrolytes). - a Doppler ultrasound of the neck vessels to examine the blood flow to the brain and exclude possible vessel narrowing. - a Head Up Tilt test to exclude possible orthostatic intolerance
Meanwhile, I recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure and refer it to your doctor. You should discuss with him on the above issues and tests.
Hope to have been helpful! Regards, Dr. Aida
