Suggest Treatment For Liver Cancer And Lung Cancer
My nan was diagnosed with cancer on the 5 February after having a ct scan. She was feeling unwell before scan but not bad. Since the scan she has been very poorly. Can the die used aggravate the condition. She has bowel liver and lung cancer? Yesterday she was put on a syringe driver and has slept since. Is this just to get pain under control or would she be in final stages? This has happened so quickly please advise
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Since, she is having cancer in liver, lungs and bowel, she is having stage 4 malignancy (terminal stage illness). So only palliative treatment in the form of pain management and nutritional support are advisable. Excessive sleepiness can be due to brain metastasis. But we can not do anything for this. In my opinion, she is having life expectancy of less than 4-5 months. So better to discuss end of life issues with her. Hope I have solved your query. Wishing her good health. Thanks.
