Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just found out I have stage 1 liver fibrosis with inflammation, scarring, and fatty. I ve been very symptomatic for three months now. I have severe fibromyalgia and with weather changing I need to find a pain medication that is ok to take. I ve taken lodine, Percocet, or ibuprofen 800 in the past. I was just told I can no longer take ibuprofen and I haven t been able to take aspirin for years due to thin blood. Is Percocet still safe? Or do I need something else?
Hi and welcome to HCM Perocet is safe if taken in moderate dosages however painkilers should be avoided in general. Medicatins are just one of possible causes and it should be also treated by changing dietary habits, avoid fats, alcohol and fried food and carbonated drinks. Also, body mass regulation is an important factor. Wish you good health. Regards
