Suggest Treatment For Long Lasting Fever And Cough
hello sir my father who is carring 68yrs old is suffering from fever since one month.we had consulted with the doctor but after 6 days hospitalised he has not got cured.he has also a problem of cough which is irritating while talking.his bp is 70/100.
I would like to ask few more questions for reaching a reliable diagnosis. They are: > Does you father has night sweats? > Has you father lost weight? > Has anyone in your family also suffering from these symptoms?
If a patient with these symptoms come to my clinic then i would rule out chronic diseases like pulmonary TB by performing few lab tests & imaging techniques. You need not to worry until or unless it is confirmed. I would recommend you to visit a pulmonologist as he will perform these tests and will critically look into the chest findings. Such patients needs close monitoring. In the meanwhile for cough you can take Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your father become well soon.
