Suggest Treatment For Loose Motion And Green Color Stool Of A 16 Month Old

hi doctor my daughter is 16 months of age n 9 kg weight ,she is suffering from loose motions frm last 2 days n i m giving her econorm,ad 10,srp zink,n o2 n the color of the stool id green n watery n she passes 35-50 loose motions a day..wht shud i do to control it

Hi...thanks for consulting at HCM. It seems your kid is having acute watery  diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS...hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help anytime.
