Suggest Treatment For Loose Motions In A Child

My baby was born on last sunday. for the first two days she was passing semi solid black colour stool. Third day the stool was also semi solid (Not as black one) but from the fourth day she was pasing watery stool at least 15-16 times a day. She was taking a liquid syrup to control the motion but it is not useful. The birth was CS type. The baby is completely on mother s milk. Plz suggest what to do?

Hi,

If there is no fever, the stool does not contain blood, and he is playful and feeding well, we need not worry at all. It is quite common for newborns to have frequent loose stools during initial days. This can be taken as normal, and need no treatment. This will change slowly its own
