Thank you for your query.

Loose stools occur due to increased motility of the intestine. This could be due an Inflammation (acute or chronic), infection, foods that you may allergic or intolerant to, medications that increase motility of the intestine and hyperosmolar fluids that promote the inflow of fluids to the intestine.

When associated with a fever an inflammation or Infection is likely.

Typhoid can present with feverand loose stools (if not treated) that last a very long time. The symptoms vary in intensity and can be intermittent.
Traveler's diarrhea is due to food poisoning and occur when you consume unhygienic food/water. This may be self limiting but if severe requires prompt treatment.

Pool water contains chlorine to disinfect it and may irritate your stomach which can cause loose stools but is not usually associated fever.

Certain parasitic infections can linger on like amebiasis.

I recommend a stool exam (to check for parasites) and a stool culture to isolate any abnormal bacterial growth.
Based on this and clinical findings antibiotic therapy will be necessary for upto 2 weeks.
Typhoid should be treated with fluoroquinolones and other empirical antibiotics based on the severity, area and local strains susceptibility. Once the stool/blood reports are back, treatment can be narrowed down.
These infection should not be left untreated as it can cause life threatening infection if and when your immunity is low and you may also pass it on.
Please see your physician as this needs proper investigation and treatment.

Hope this helps

If you have severe diarrhea with high fever, lethargy, vomiting and are unable to replace lost fluids orally, visit the ER right away.
