Suggest Treatment For Loose Stools And Fever In A Child

My child 8 months old has fever a temperature of 38 to 39.5 since 3 days it was preceeded by cold like symptoms and mind loose stool today i noticed during abdominal exam palpable liver 5cm below costal margin with sharp margin and papable left lobe about 2.5cm BCM, not tender. there is no related past history except neonatal physiological jaundice. on examination there is no other abnormality detected.what is the possible diagnosis?

Thanks for the query.

In children from 6 months to 4 years 0 to 3 cm is the normal palpable liver size.
But as you said it is 5cm below costal margin you should see the doctor.

Loose stool may be due to some infection either viral or bacterial.
If it is viral it will get cured in 3 to 5 days.
But if problem persists then see the doctor and go for stool examination.
