Suggest Treatment For Lose Motion, Fewer And Cough And Cold?

Hi Dr. My 1 year 8 month old daughter is suffering from lose motion, fewer and cough and cold for the last 3 days, and my family Pediatrician recommended PRO-WEL dry syrup , Soventus Jr as treatment, she is already taking ZIFY 50 ready mix for last 3 days. Can I know why he suggested PRO-WEL and Soventus and these medication is for what kind of illness.

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting in Health Care Magic. Prowel is a pro biotic but its not indicated unless there's an antibiotic induced diarrhea. Suventus could be a cough medication. As you have not mentioned about blood in stools I don't see any need for antibiotic as well....zify. Only ORS & zinc supplements are approved by WHO for such diarrhea which could be viral.
