Hi im 19 years old and lately i haven t been feeling well. I have no appetite and my stomach growls and makes noises. I also burp a lot. I feel nauseous, i threw up yesterday but not today. I also have been getting loose stools for the past couple of months. I feel better after i throw up but i don t feel like eating and when i do i my stomach makes noise and i don t feel so well.
Gurgling noises in abdomen after eating, nausea, loss of appetite and loose stools for some months can be due to gastroenteritis or other reasons for which one needs to undergo a proper clinical examination preferably by a General Surgeon or a Gastroenterologist, investigations to support the diagnosis and get treated accordingly. As per you history I would advise you the following: X-ray of abdomen in standing position. Ultrasonography and CT scan of abdomen. Tests of stool for three consecutive days. Tests o blood including that for thyroid and as needed. All these will lead to a proper diagnosis so that a proper management can give you cure.
Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant, General & ENT Surgeon
