Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Hearing While Suffering From Immunoglobulin Deficiency
I have had stapes in my ears since in my 30 s as time has gone on I am now 56. People complain I can t hear. If Ihold my nose and blow I can open them but they close very quickly. Is there a surgery that can correct? I also have immunoglobulin deficiencies of IGA, IGA. The IGA is to control ear and nose sinuses but since my numbers are low and that cannot be replaced looking for surgery. I do take monthly IVIG treatments for low IGG count. This does not help my ear and sinus issues. I want to know if there is surgery to replace the malfunctioning of Eustachian tube?
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
In my view - at your age 56 ( chances of nerve deafness more, surgery will be unsuccessful), post stapes surgery, could be deranged stapes or recurrence of otosclerosis, re surgery may get or may loose hearing permanatly. immunoglobulin deficiencies can have infections.
with all factors, I advise you to go for hearing aids instead of surgery. for eusthacian tube block, medications and valsalva exercises will help. visit an ent surgeon for farther help.
Hope, I have answered your query, all the best, take care.
