Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Hearing With Vertigo
dear doctor,
my father's age is 53 and is suffering from loss of hearing from around 10 years,he's also a patient of virtigo.he also had full body check up and all of his reports are resulted in normal.one of the doctor has also checked inside the ear drum,but all is in stable condition.he has suspected by looking inside with a camera that there is a structural disbalance on the innerear part.after that he experimented(the doctor) he had filled my father's ear with steroids then covered it with medicinated sponge and towards the outer part of the ear he stuffed it with a cotton plug.after 2-3 days of the operation my father felt a bit improvement in hearing.when we discussed it with our doctor he suggested us to carry on the injection of steroids which he suspects is giving strength to his ear.till date he has filled steroid injections inside ear around 3 times after every 8 days.but now my father's hearing conditions are still same as they were.what can you suggest doctor?

if your father is not improving by these methods, i recommend you to take him for a review with him once more.
there are many options now. hearing aids now have become very small.
for patients with partial loss of hearing these give excellent results.
the cause of hearing loss has to be identified and proper diagnosis has to be made before proceeding.
for his vertigo is because of the vestibular disturbances and i recommend him taking tablets like cinnarizine , and betahistine
