Suggest Treatment For Low Heart Rate When Suffering From Dementia
Aloha, My 85 yo mother has been in ICU now for dementia for 10 days - she is was alert at times but mostly sleeping, as her heart rate has lowered to 30 bpm and the DRs want to put in a pacemaker and stomach/feeding tube. Should I consent to the pacemaker and stomach tube at this stage?
Hello Dementia is nothing to play any role in heart rate . The heart 30 / minute is most dangerous and your mother is going to heart failure case , so at once consent for pacemaker . I recommend you at once consult a CARDIOLOGIST and get his opinion as earliest because it is an EMERGENCY. Good luck for your mother.
