Suggest Treatment For Low Platelet Counts During Dengue Fever

Hi I have a friend who has dengue fever. She is Brazil at the moment. Her platlet count is 115. She has been sick for about a week and they have told her that her platlet count has to go up to at least 150. How long does this usually take and is there something that she can take to help things along?

I understand your health concern, if I am your doctor I suggest you that there is no treatment to increase platelet count. Dengue has no treatment except to maintain fluid. Fluid therapy is the utmost important part in it. Do not allow platelet count to go down to critical level that hemorrhage from various cavity starts.
