Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello
I have gone through your question and understood your concern.

I can say that Hypothyroidism of the mother during pregnancy may result in developmental delay in the child.
For this reason it s very important to maintain a thyroid hormone level within high normal range,if you actually have hypothyroidism.

A lot of studies found that children born to mothers with hypothyroidism during pregnancy had lower IQ and impaired psychomotor (mental and motor) development.
But,if properly controlled, with thyroid hormone replacemet therapy, often by increasing the amount of thyroid hormone, women with hypothyroidism can have healthy, unaffected babies. So,don't worry!

My advice for you is to repeat the thyroid tests TSH, fT3 and fT4 and than to consult your local endocrinologist because you may need thyroid hormone replacement therapy, according to your actual test results.

Hope this is helpful.
If you have other doubts, feel free and ask.
Regards.
