Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. You are worried about
low BP (126/79mm Hg) and light headedness.
First I want to clear your concepts. Your BP is absolutely normal. 126/79 mmHg is not a low BP. I agree this reading is lesser than the usual reading, but it is not low. There is a chance that your dizziness/light headedness may be due to it. But it is less likely. Low BP which cause symptoms, is usually when SBP/DBP is lower than 90/60 mmHg. I think your BP is in quite good range now.
Coming to light headedness, it can be due to other causes like
-
Dehydration -
Antihypertensive medication if you are taking any
- vertigo
- Sedation
To get relief, you should
- Take approximately 3 litre of fluids daily
- Lie down to relieve dizziness
- Take tablet
betahistine after proper prescription. It will treat vertigo
- You can consult your doctor about side effects of drugs (which you are taking).
- Avoid driving, travelling alone till full relief.
- You can take 1tsp salt in 500ml water if your BP falls below 100mmHg. Stop antihypertensive medication and consult your doctor on urgent basis.
Hope it will help you. If still in doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
