Hi Dear,
welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The most probable reason for swelling on your jaw line is stone in
salivary gland duct . The condition is know as
sialolithiasis . Stone in duct block the secretions of gland and make it swell.
This can occur due to many reasons like certain medicines like antihistamines or not eating enough food.
I would suggest you to to
consult dentist or oral surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor may X-ray ,
ultrasound OR CT scan to rule out other causes like lymph node or
osteoma. Doctor may recommend yu to suck on sugar free lemon candy ,drinking lots of water , and give gentle massage to duct area . Doctor may also apple pressure on duct to expel stone .
If above methods doesn't work then there will be a surgical procedure for that.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
