Suggest Treatment For Lump In Throat, ear Discomfort And Tingling Sensation In Face

last year I broke out with Erythema multiforme, reason unknown but most likely stress, It went away in about a week. Then 3 months later My primary healthcare physician had me go in for a mammogram for a lump in my breast. It turned out to be nothing and probably associated with my menstrual cycle. 4 months after that I have been getting a bout of severe abdominal pains with my menstrual cycle , the kind were you are doubled over in the doorway and can't move, kind of pain, it goes away after a few minutes and also the worst pain in the veins behind my legs were I feel like the veins will burst, this has been ongoing for about 4 cycles now. I dismissed the cycle issue as something that comes with age since I just turned 30. Now I have this "lump" feeling in my throat. It doesn't really hurt it's just irritating. It feels like my throat is dry and horse but my voice is fine, there is also a feeling of discomfort in my ears and a flush tingling feeling in my face. It feels as though the lump in my throat is getting larger but I can't tell if my mind is just being paranoid. It's usually associated with a nauseated feeling and I am swallowing mucus throughout the day. I don't feel sick at all.. my nose isn't stuffy, i don't have allergies, I workout regularly and my pulse is usually around 63 beats per minute. I am 30 years of age and about 128lbs. I usually never have any issues regarding my health but lately it feels like im going to the doctor for one thing after another..

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query, you have lump in throat, ear discomfort, and tingling sensation in face because of nerve impingement or pressure on facial nerve which can lead to facial paralysis.

But, symptoms like throat lump occur due to upper respiratory track infection or tonsillitis. Visit neurologist once and get it examined to rule out nerve compression, neuralgia or other conditions like neuropathy.

Go for physical therapy of facial muscles. Avoid opening mouth extreme wide while jawing.

Also consult an ENT specialist for tonsillitis. It could be related to stroke. Neurotropic medicines such as nerve supplement, methylcobalamin is effective in improving your symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
