I understood your health concerns about treatment of lump on heel- Treatment- You seem to have Calcaneal Spur with Bursitis with cellulitis around from overuse,which is giving purple bruise over it. Get Second opinion from Orthopedic Surgeon / or your Surgeon or GP and or / Podiatrist if need be, who would Confirm it by physical examination and reviewing it with Check X-ray of the heel for Calaneal Spur with bursitis. Any other cause for this needs to be ruled which your doctor would take care of,as he would have first hand information,to which I don t have any access. Suggested treatment - Rest to the Part, Anti-inflammatory medicines from your doctor Correction of the Foot Arch and Change of your Shoes/foot wear accordingly from Podiatrist-a special foot doctor. Hot Compresses / and or/Infrared Heat from your GP or at Home under his guidance. Voltaren Gel locally. This would take care of it as such lumps reduce on its own in 2-3 weeks.IF recurring needful treatments would be directed from your OrthoSurgeon accordingly.
