I saw a foot doctor this week for a large golf ball sized bump on the top of my foot, he tried to remove fluid but there was none or he could not get any. He is recommending surgery this week. Over the weekend the bump has decreased, what or how could that happen? What could this be if it's not a cyst? cancer? tumor? should I still have the surgery?
Hello Dear, You have not mentioned duration of swelling on foot. Is it paining ? Probably,it is Ganglion on foot, which is to be removed by surgery.[ Best treatment ] Is there any history of trauma on foot ? If yes, then it may be haematoma, which again to be removed.
If, ther is history of pain, fever and or trauma, it may be abscess. It is to be drained.
