Suggest Treatment For Lump Under The Skin Of Cheek

Hi, I have a lump/spit under my skin on my right hum cheek, it s around the size of a 2p coin. It was originaly slightly red but now it s nearly purple and very tender. I have had a few of them and my doctor has always given me steroid cream. Do you have an idea on what it could be? Thanks

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello, a lump which is tender, red and changing colour at this site is most likely a bacterial folliculitis.
Please don't apply any steroid cream on such lesions ever because infections tend to flare under steroids.
I would adv you to start a course of antibiotics with cap Cloxacillin 500 mg four times a day for 5 days and apply nadibact cream locally on the lesion twice daily.
Keep the area dry
The lesion should resolve with this in 5 days
Thanks
Take care
