Suggest Treatment For Macular Amyloidosis On Back And Collar Bone
I am 32 years old and i have macular amyloidosis on my back and collar bone. It has become very embarrassing, especially the one on my collar bone since people assume it's a hickie! The discoloring is not itchy nor is it bumpy or dry. Is there a non-surgical way I can get rid of it/reduce it. I know all about not scrubbing with a loofah and applying sunscreen, but it seems to increase every year. HELP.
I can understand your concern for the macular amyloidosis on back and collar bone. In your kind of cases the pigmentation is quite deep and is resistant to most of the therapies to improve the color. In my patients I sue a combination of various agents like glycolic cid, kojic and Azelaic acid used in different proportions at night time. Sun protection is quite important to reduce the grade of pigmentation. Use a sunscreen daily to reduce the sun damage. Eat a lot of green vegetables and fruits to have internal protection. I suggest you to be in good follow up of a dermatologist to get the earliest improvement.
All the best.
