Suggest Treatment For Mastoiditis

Recently had mri scan on head and i am worried about many things found. There is diffuse, mild, age related cerebral atrophy. Extensive and confluent white matter hyperintense signal noted involving the periventricular white mater extending more or less symmetrically into the biliateral corona radiata and the centrum senuovale with a discrete hyperintense foci as well in the subcortical white matter on the T2 and FLAIR sequences. These are rather non specific and may represent either age related ischaemia or demyelination. it goes on to say problems mastoiditis. sinuses and so on! saw my Gp yesterdaybut i am non the wiser only that ihave been given a nasal spray. in anticipation thank you for your help. Mary Baxter. oh am very fit 72 year old i still work on the farm and look after the animals. Do i need to see a E N T specialist? re hearing getting worse. i do go to hearing clinic. ?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
I can understand what happens after looking at such an MRI. Age related changes have to be accepted as you have accepted to be FIT 72 years. But what worries me too is the finding of Mastoiditis and sinuses and so on.

With this MRI report and hearing getting reduced , I think you should see an ENT for clinical evaluation, examination and treatment in a proper way.

Take care.
Wishing you a healthy future life .
